The Association has been involved in establishing and promoting sensory gardens in Victoria Park, North Finchley and Harrow Recreation Ground.
We are always on the lookout for green fingered volunteers to help us maintain the plants and grounds.

June Goldman worked as a volunteer for MAB in Barnet under the inspired leadership of Ann Allen. Shortly after she died her husband, Alfred, became a Director and Trustee of MAB. He found that the garden in Victoria Park, Finchley, was in disrepair and his first task was to find a new site for a Sensory Garden. Many had to be consulted including various departments of the Council, residents and building and gardening contractors. There were many conflicting opinions but eventually agreement was reached and over two hundred were present at the opening by Mrs Joyce Dale on a sunlit afternoon on the 22nd September 2001, three years since June's death.
The garden was designed and planted by Carolyn Mason of the Parks Department and was named the June Rose Goldman Sensory Garden - 'The life of the plants comes through my fingertips' - (Robert Louis Stevenson) by the Chairman, Mr Alan Hills, assisted by Mrs Ann Allen and Mr Trevor Picton.
