Volunteering

Linda Greenfield, our Support Services Coordinator, is proud of the achievement of the volunteers in Enfield. We try very hard to closely match our volunteers with visually impaired clients.

Enfield regularly host events like the Equipped for Life Day. We were honoured to have as our guest the Mayor of Enfield and approximately 50 people attended.

Monthly drop in at Park Avenue Centre

EAB meet, in partnership with Enfield Vision, 10.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. on the third Thursday of every month throughout the year, the only exception being in December. We have an extensive range of specialised equipment to demonstrate and there is a free ordering service. Activities include chair-based keep fit and healing sessions. A rehabilitation officer from the sensory impairment team attends. There is an Optelec Video Magnifier (CCTV) which can be used if people wish to read their post privately. We also have a very large range of books on tape which can be borrowed. There is a very friendly and lively atmosphere and free tea and coffee is served.

How to get to Park Avenue Centre

The Centre's address is at 65C Park Avenue, Bush Hill Park, Enfield. Buses 329 and W8 stop very close by.
