Zareen is 20 years old and has been working as a volunteer for the past 18 months on the Home Visiting Scheme with Hounslow Association for the Blind. Zareen visits 84 year old Dorothea once a week, to read her mail and take her shopping. Zareen enjoys volunteering and feels she has excellent listening & communication skills which can help if and when clients feel sad or a bit lonely. She says she has the quality of having a good heart & a huge interest in wanting to help others. Along with her studies & voluntary work, Zareen is also a middday supervisor with 30 children in her care. Dorothea says "Zareen is very reliable and is a tremendous help - always bright and cheerful."
